Grammy tells us that the first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621, wow that’s a long, long, time ago. The Pilgrims and Indians were celebrating together because there was a lot of rain. You see, all the rain helped make a lot more crops then they usually got. That means more food! Yum, Yum, Yum!!
There was a lot to be thankful for so the first Thanksgiving lasted the whole days!! Wow is that amazing or what? Brody and I vote that we extend the holiday to 3 days! #3DayThanksgivng
So, now it’s time for Brody and I to count our blessings and we sure have a lot to be thankful for. We thought we would pick a few and here we go…
#1. When Mommy or Grammy work from home.
These are special days. What this means that instead of getting dressed up from that side of the closet that we know means trouble, Mommy or Grammy will stay in jammies or comfy clothes. Brody and I get to sit right next to them all day long. We nap, get treats and give them inspiration. This also makes Mommy and Grammy happy too!
#2. Toilet paper.
We think there is nothing better than finding the toilet paper and unraveling the roll all over the house. We usually find it in the bathroom. So, here is what you do… grab the roll and run!!
Run Brody run! Wee!!! Then you unroll it from room to room and chew some of it up. Throw some up in the air too! It’s also fun to take it up and down the stairs or to circle the furniture with it. Some say we are part cat, but we love toilet paper. #charmin is our favorite!
Tip: Don’t eat the toilet paper it’s not good for you.
#3. Bathtubs
So, here is something that is super fun! It’s called a bathtub! Rub-a-dub-dub we puppies love the tub! We love to jump in and lay down on the cold porcelain spread eagle. This is very cool and refreshing! Don’t get us wrong, put water in the tub and we run the other way…because then it’s a bath. Yikes!!!
#4. Kisses.
We love our humans and our humans love us. That is why we kiss, lick or slobber all over our humans to show them all the affection they need and they do the same for us. We also like to kiss to say thank you for things like treats and toys. Sometimes we just lick because Mommy and Granny taste salty.
#5. Each other.
Lastly, Brody and I are thankful for each other. We are what you call a bonded pair. We are a duo of doggies that are strongly attached to each other and stick together. We eat together out of the same bowl and share nicely. We like to snuggle together on a chair or the coach and we sleep together, sometimes we even spoon! #loveyoubro
So, these are just a few of our blessings. There are so many more. We are lucky dogs!
Please tell us below some of the things you are thankful for.
Love, Hammy and Brody
