It’s us Hammy and Brody!
As some of you know, we are refugees from puppy mills and although we have a great life now, we have a little PTSD. So, this year at Christmas time, we wanted to give back and we did a fundraiser for Yorkie911 Rescue.
Yorkie911 is a local nonprofit 501c3 organization that helps find homes for little guys like us. We like them because they are very fussy about who gets to adopt the little one in their care. They ensure that their babies forever homes are safe and conduct background checks on all of their humans.
Okay, this is how we helped. For everyone who liked and shared our fundraiser on social media, Grammy donated a dollar to Yorkie911 Rescue.
We are happy to say that we raised $750.00!! This will be used for the medical needs of the babies in Yorkie911’s care. There are lots of ways you can help too. You can make a donation on their website at www.yorkie911rescue.com.
They need lots of stuff all the time. Right now, Heidi Walker, who runs the place is saving up because she wants to microchip all the babies in her care. She needs a universal scanner and lots of mini microchips. These cost a lot of money, but any amount of money will help. If you don’t want to give money, you can also give crate pads, laundry detergent (Tide or Persil), cleaning supplies like KEO and Simple Green, rubber gloves, belly bands, wee-wee pads, and Gut Health Pumpkin flavor.
